Adriel Hampton's 12 Point Platform

Over the weekend, CA-10 Congressional Candidate Adriel Hampton released what he is calling his 12 Ideas to Change Our Nation

His 12 point platform for radical reform includes:

• Economic Reform
• Equal Rights
• Religious Freedom
• Freedom to Bear Arms
• Reform Drug Laws
• Universal Health Care
• Communications Reform/Open Government
• Education Reform
• Israel, Terrorism and Foreign Aid
• Energy Reform
• Democratic Reforms at Home
• Clean Money

I have to say that while there are a number of issues here that I agree with Hampton, I certainly have some concerns about this platform as well.

While I applaud him for taking such a strong stance on Drug Law reform, I am especially uncomfortable with his take on Religous Freedom

I would not force pharmacists to violate their religious faiths to work at state hospitals.

Sorry, but this one is a deal breaker for me. If your religion prevents you from performing the duties required by your profession, then you have chosen the wrong profession. That's all there is to it for me.
